Web Design Services

Kidz ExpoWebbuilders offers a web page design service.

You're the experts in your field, so I take the time to learn about your business, your customers, products and services, and what you want to achieve from your website before I start any design work.

Webbuilders is ideal for small to medium business who need a simple but effective website and don't have tens of thousands of dollars to spend. Because I use the interent everyday in all three of my business's I am able to transfer this knowledge to make the net work for you.

My aim is to produce web sites that are easy to find and navigate around, sites that have good clean layout so your visitors will be able to find what they're looking for quickly.

We use a template based approach for most sites we design, this saves us a lot of time, which in turn reduces the costs we have to pass onto our clients. While maintaining a professional finish.

Please feel free to visit some of my Clients Sites to view some of my more recent work.

Some of the common questions I am asked by clients

1- What will a website cost me?
Its a bit like asking a building what it will cost to build a house, there are a lot of variable. A lot of time can be spent on site layout, graphics and chasing clients for information. If you are considering building a site.

The sites I have listed as examples cost between $850+gst to $1600+gst. We charge by the hour, the first hour of consultation is free. One of the best ways to save money is to make sure you don't end up paying me for your thinking time, be prepared, and provide me with as much information as soon as you can, it can save hours.

2- What do I need to do to get a website

  • start thinking about what information you want on the site
  • collect all the photos, images, logos, files and information you need and provide it to us in digital format.
  • Look around the net and see what others in your industry have done, note down any websites you like ideas from
  • think about these questions - who are my customers, what is the key message I want to give on the site, etc
  • Give me a call or an email and I can make a time to talk about it with you.

3- Why get a designer to make a site, my son (replace son with any number of relations or friends) can whip something up for me and it won't cost as much.
Often you get what you pay for, if you have a friend or relative who can do a good job, that's great. But most backyard websites can be seen a mile away, is that the image you want to protray to the world? It can also be hard to tell someone doing you a favour that you are not happy with the work, and you are left with a bit of a mess.

I have also seen people spend hours trying to build there own websites to save some money. What is your time worth? Is it better than you spend your time growing your business and learning the skills you really need? I have about 10 years experience, plus thousands of dollars of software on hand, there are many tricks of the trade that save hours of your time.

4- I don't really know much about computers, and wouldn't know where to get started when it comes to the whole interweb thingy?
Really you don't need to know too much at all. Once your website is up and running it is important that you can check you emails and reply to them in a timely manner, but you can leave all the HTML code, domain registration and web hosting to me.

5- I dont really read website, is there any advice for writing my website content so people will read it?
Yes - in fact if you are still reading this page, and have read it in full, you will be one of the few who have done so. The key is to keep it short, use short paragraphs, relevent pictures and plenty of bullet points. Personally I think it is better to link to a PDF document if you have large amounts of information that needs to be shared via a website. Research shows that people skim read websites.

6- How do I get my site listed on the search engines?
We make your site in such a way that it is picked up by the search engines, and submit your site to the major search engines. You can also use services such as googles AdWords and pay for per click. We are happy to discuss various options with you.
